Galileo Galilei

Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer, physicist, and mathematician born in 1564. He played a key role in the Scientific Revolution and supported the heliocentric model of the solar system. His observations with the telescope challenged established beliefs of his time. Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems is one of his most significant works.
