Mary Shelley

Mary Shelley (1797–1851) was an English novelist best known for her Gothic novel Frankenstein. She was the daughter of philosopher William Godwin and feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft. Her work is considered one of the earliest examples of science fiction.
