Mary Wollstonecraft

Mary Wollstonecraft was an English writer and philosopher born in 1759. She is considered one of the earliest advocates of women's rights. Her work A Vindication of the Rights of Woman argued for women's education and social equality. She was also the mother of novelist Mary Shelley.
