Michael Madhusudan Dutt

Michael Madhusudan Dutt (1824–1873) was a pioneering Bengali poet and dramatist. He introduced blank verse into Bengali literature and wrote several notable plays and epic poems. His works, including Meghnad Badh Kavya and Krishnakumari, mark a major transition in 19th-century Bengali literature.
